addition to "strange things Jason does"
here's another thing to add to the list of strange things about Jason.
I have no empathy for people who are ill.
If you're sick, go see a doctor, or self-medicate. Do what you have to do, and don't expect me to sympathise with you.
This is very strange considering I'm not usually like that about other things.
I know why I have this attitude. It's learned.
While I know my parents took care of me while I was ill when I was younger, but as I got older, it was a different thing. In secondary school, my parents constantly refused to believe that I was ill and said that I was pretending to be sick in order to skip school. From secondary school onwards, if I was sick, there would be a 30min interrogation and argument between us until one of us gives up.
Since then, I have the same attitude about people who are sick. But I guess the only difference is I don't have a kid to "rule" over.
Instead of the argument, I just continue with my life with apathy.
My mom is obviously ill. But most times I go on with life without much concern. In my head, I know what is the right thing to do, but my heart feels no guilt what so ever.
If you're sick, go see a doctor. Stop whining and whinging.
