Standing for what you believe in

Some people think I'm a bit strange. Ok.. I think most people think that..

I helped to add a few more things on their list of "strange things Jason does".

Recently, one of my distant cousins got married. And at the wedding dinner, of course we had shark's fin soup. I said, no thanks. You should have seen the response from the table. Stunned silence. Everyone at the table were family and they know how much I love food but to hear me say no thanks to of all things, the most expensive dish on the menu?? I think it was too much for them to handle. My aunt thought I was joking until she noticed that there was still 1 bowl left in the middle and it was mine. My cousin asked, you sure you're not eating? Yup, I refuse to ever eat shark's fin again. And I pre-warned them that at my own future wedding, they won't see it on the menu.

Come on.. I ask you, what does shark's fin taste like?

Nothing.. it's just like eating a tendon. there is no taste. In fact, even if they threw in imitation shark's fin, most people wouldn't know the taste difference. They can only tell by the shape of the shreds. And how much do we pay for it?? It's just stupid. And by the way, the fishermen, just cut off the fins and throw the shark back into the water. Again, that's just stupid and wasteful.

A more recent thing... I'm not going to watch MI3. I'm just not going to watch Tom Cruise anymore. I think he's just getting out of hand. Too much press can be a bad thing. It's so weird to see the way Katie Holmes leech on him. She's always draping herself around him as if she's a sweater. And of course, Scientology... have any of you actually checked out what Scientology is all about. Go read it on their own official website www.scientology.org and also http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientology

It has to be one of the weirdest "religions" i have ever come across. It's steeped in secrecy and you can only learn more about what the whole religion is when you join and go through their programmes, which costs a lot of money.

My favourite part is, the planet Xenu and the aliens that put Man on earth, billions of them a long long time ago.. like 75 million years ago. They also believe that some people high up in the religion have supernatural powers, like levitation etc. The founder L. Ron Hubbard was actually a sci-fi fiction writer. And people actually used his "enlightenment" to create a religion.

It's just nuts..

Oh, since we're on the movie subject...

Please take note that Dan Brown himslef says his book is a NOVEL. A work of FICTION. Go read it in his own website. www.danbrown.com

While the documents, paintings, secret rituals and architecture all exist, he makes no guarantee about the theories discussed by the fictional characters in his book. It is up to the reader to interpret for themselves.

But instead of trying to get the movie banned, I welcome the discussion about the whole issue. Just know your facts before taking "truths" for granted.

People just take "truths" so easily and so readily. What are you, STUPID?? Have you no backbone and no brain to take the information, research it, and challenge what is said?

The internet is so massive and has so much information, go google it!

That's why I don't like this saying.. Information is Power.

It is WRONG and STUPID.

It is The Understanding and The Correct Use of Information is POWER.

Information just makes you an informed person.. it doesn't make you any smarter. What you DO with that information will determine how smart and how wise you are.

Waah. I'm so pissed off. Haha.
