ego... where does that fit in to everyday Christian life?? .. how do you accept praise properly?? many people i know go into their "modest" mode.. aiyah.. nolah.. not nice lah.. crap!

is it wrong to say thank you when people praise you? when i say to a girl, "hey, you look good in that haircut" and she says, "no lah, where got nice?" does that mean she's insulting the hairdresser and insulting my taste in good hairstyles? or does she lack the confidence that God created her beautiful and that He gave good skills to the hairdresser and He also gifted me with the sensitivity to notice her new hairdo?? i wonder sometimes.. i just wonder..

sometimes the crap that goes thru my mind boggles me.. maybe that's why i'm so bizzi all the time..
